That Treasured Box
So small and white,
That treasured box.
It cannot open,
Tho has no locks.
The fragrance seeps
Into the air.
Baby pink roses
For one so fair.
She stands stock still
And stares through tears.
She wants to scream
To air the fears.
She does not know
How she can breathe,
To say good-bye,
To have to leave.
That treasured box
That holds her heart,
Her baby girl,
A world apart.
That treasured box.
It cannot open,
Tho has no locks.
The fragrance seeps
Into the air.
Baby pink roses
For one so fair.
She stands stock still
And stares through tears.
She wants to scream
To air the fears.
She does not know
How she can breathe,
To say good-bye,
To have to leave.
That treasured box
That holds her heart,
Her baby girl,
A world apart.
