Returning (to the Sun)
the corona comes and goes so fast
into the Sun we both rush past
its anode glowing heat machine
now cooling as we're in between
the surface plasma's flowery tufts,
all turbulence and very rough,
to enter through a cool dark spot
to somewhere cooler once we've got
below what's seen from outer space,
sky aglow as we now face
ocean islands all around
with vegetation and the sound
of leaves which flutter in a breeze
temperatures just right that please,
a distant crackle in the sky...
coming down yet feeling high
returning to our place of birth
long before the one on Earth
as guardians to nudge along
human beings going wrong...
each life lasting for just a flash
each life ending and off we dash
returning to this home we left
returning to our lives through death
into the Sun we both rush past
its anode glowing heat machine
now cooling as we're in between
the surface plasma's flowery tufts,
all turbulence and very rough,
to enter through a cool dark spot
to somewhere cooler once we've got
below what's seen from outer space,
sky aglow as we now face
ocean islands all around
with vegetation and the sound
of leaves which flutter in a breeze
temperatures just right that please,
a distant crackle in the sky...
coming down yet feeling high
returning to our place of birth
long before the one on Earth
as guardians to nudge along
human beings going wrong...
each life lasting for just a flash
each life ending and off we dash
returning to this home we left
returning to our lives through death
