Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy
I want to talk of a tale
A story that's been a shadow
Been with me
For ever so long now
It's not a shadow of joy
It's more a knawing of despair
That shoves its unwanted head
At me every now n then
Have you felt the hypocrisy
In this, I voice my own
Predjuiced view, not of others
My bone of contention
Lays within the catholic religion
So much to say
About this outdated persuction
This abomination
These tyrants of destruction
They who lay their crooked laws
They have infested our planet
Pillaged foreign countries
Raped and plundered
All in the name
Of a goddamed being
Whose teachings are of love
Where is the love
I ask you, where is the love
When these bastatds
Rape and mutilate
Our children and our country
Where is the love
When one of these monsters
Shakes a parents hand
And proclaims that Johnny boy
Would make a lovely choir boy
Through the ages of time
Our country, my country
Has been devestated
Not just by an unwanted landlord
But an infestation of religious bullshit
Some may say that I am harsh
Some say what I say
Is untrue and uncalled for
That hatred flows in my blood
That I should kneel and and pray
I say to you, tell me this
Two separate families
At two different times
Both suffered a loss
Devestated by cancer
One family being a large
Farming family the other
Being an ordinary working family
The holy man never left
The dying farmers son
Having not once blackened the door
Of the working family's son
That son never having seen
His own unborn son
So tell me good folks
That I am unjust just another hater
That I know not what I speak of
That it's gods will
I have no right to question
Tell me to hell I'm bound
That is where I'd rather go
Rather than live in hypocrisy
I want to talk of a tale
A story that's been a shadow
Been with me
For ever so long now
It's not a shadow of joy
It's more a knawing of despair
That shoves its unwanted head
At me every now n then
