Take the moo off the menu ?
who is going to tell the cows
their presence is detremetal
to the world at large
and I wonder, on hearing it
would they understand
the gravity of the situation
and cease
all
procreation
or will we
have to do it
for them 🤔

it's terrible global warming due to methane is that what's up?
in any case I think we should be planet conscious but there is only so much we can really do
for some reason the dinosaurs went extinct and we had nothing to do with it
we had ice ages here again without our help..,
it seems we are at the mercy of a larger universe and that universe at mercy to the vastness of space and all the cosmos...
I think we stick our noses in where we shouldn't sometimes
then do nothing when we can and should...
I may be off topic I'm not sure but needless to say you piqued my interest...

And....I'm liking the irony of the indention onnprocreation, making it reflexive....maybe we....should do it for them....questioning if cows are a problem, what about humans????!
Subtle stuff....

Hullo
I cannot confirm or deny any subtleness.
our contributions to the welfare of this planet appear to be counter productive at best. perhaps the true meaning of our existence here is something truly awful
thanks much for your presence and thoughts RT

way I see it. people make the easy decisions handy enough: wash out their recyclables and put them in a separate bin. which ain't gonna do diddly squat
ask them to consent to end of cows....
thanks much for your words and presence, Lady.

The bitter twist at the end of this is delicious. A nicely nihilistic piece.

Manure lagoon comin at you! We often read tea leaves, coffee grinds in a cup, there are these romantic concepts of fate, destiny, but one observable truth is that actions have consequences and whatever we feel might have been or is meant to be, there is, tangibly, what there is. If fossil fuels and cow farts are leading our decadent society, where some few are overweight and the rest are starving, to some kind of resource collapse, it will be cause and effect. I read these books where people on the other end of some major cataclysm look back and say, why did they let it happen? After I'm done reading here, I'll take my daily walk, I'll make my daily lunch, yogurt with peanuts these days, and continue through my chores and past times. I think, as individuals, we feel overwhelmed and have an amazing capacity for ignoring anything that troubles us. Expand that individual capacity to a society, and you have the band playing on a sinking ship, but perhaps a ship begins sinking as soon as you bend wood and metal into the shape of a ship, all things end and begin. One of the things I like best about art is it picks up somewhere in an ongoing story and then leaves off in the same place, little pictures, giving rise to feelings, and we move on.
All that said and established as to my perspective on people and societies, I cannot deny the importance of being woke as they say these days, engaging the difficult topics, doing what we can, I recycle but often I forget to wash the plastics clean first. Shit. lol I drive a gasoline engine because I cannot afford an electric one. I eat too much, probably because I feel lonely and sometimes afraid.
You have a singular wit my friend and you bring a valuable perspective to this site, you do your best to swat the dick flies that are perpetually buzzing about this place, your motivation in this regard is a source of admiration for me, I've not the inclination for it. Most importantly, I appreciate your writing for it's honesty, which compels me to engage, where so often I glance at things and move along.
In friendship,
Daniel
