Will this ever change?

Wars cause extreme suffering  
But also profit  
Gun lobbies influence goverments  
Thus there is no interest in peace
 
Climate Change will erase innocents  
That's a long-known fact  
Scientists were ignored for a long time  
It's just more comfortable this way  
Nowadays most want climate protection  
But without having to change anything  
 
Social Injustice tears the world apart and attacks democracy
A few people have more money than they can spend  
While others have no money they can spend  
Some people work long and hard  
But can't afford their rent  
Right-wing populists tell them that immigrants are the root of the problem  
Which causes racist attacks and poisons society  
 
Leading politicians earn their money on the back of victims of war and poverty!  
Have they sold their morals?  
Maybe they were born as sociopaths  
But why do citizens vote for them?  

Will this ever change?
