Do You Fear Autumn
The days became shorter,
The air became colder
She knew this feeling quite well.
She felt the subtle ache of the season pulling
Her deep into its spell.
She asked the leaves,
Softly, as they fell, “do you fear autumn?”
She watched them dance across the ground, Spinning like little women,
Dressed in elegant ball gowns.
She watched them settle,
She asked again, “do you fear autumn?”
She watched them turn to mulch and said, “tell me, do you fear autumn?”

Her deep into its spell.
She asked the leaves,
