i've notice you don’t follow me anymore
it seems i’m someone you ignore
we had nice messages and conversations
exchanged a few pictures in flirtation
i told you i was going through a low point
that night we got on video and smoked a joint
you shared personal poetry and we bonded
there may have been a moment i misled
though you started as you drunk called me and flirted
i was hurting i broke up with my girlfriend so i skirted
we both shared a carnal desire
we both fueled each other’s fires
we sat and held hands staring into the deep end
enjoying each others company as friends
i wanted to have fun and i offered my sincerest apology
you accepted and we continued carefree
i explained me to you and you got it
i don’t like trying to be changed i admit
at some point you decided to jump but i was steady
believe when i say i was ready
i wanted to bring you back to solid ground
you and i weren’t bound
with no choice i had to let you go
don’t write poetry calling this deathblows
wishing you the best you provided light in the gloom
one day you’ll find that light to make you bloom
