Tears
The silent tears that caress my face sweetly
Have begun speaking to me…
They whisper to me,
And when I won’t listen they scream
Ignore them, and they burn
Bittersweet
They trail passionately down my cheeks
I listen to them,
And suddenly
I can’t breathe.
The silent tears roar, loudly now
And eventually they loose their faith
And fear the world
They won’t come out.
They scream, still
Calling out to me
And though I long to feel their touch
I loose the strength to plead
Have begun speaking to me…
They whisper to me,
And when I won’t listen they scream
Ignore them, and they burn
Bittersweet
They trail passionately down my cheeks
I listen to them,
And suddenly
I can’t breathe.
The silent tears roar, loudly now
And eventually they loose their faith
And fear the world
They won’t come out.
They scream, still
Calling out to me
And though I long to feel their touch
I loose the strength to plead
