The rising of the Sun

The rising of the Sun

I woke up this morning, with you still inside my head, remnants ̣f a romantic dream, in which we shared my bed

In my dream you were in my arms, your head listening to my heart, now in the cold light of day, again we are apart

But in my dream I kissed your lips, you tasted so devine, locked in a dream like state, you were simply mine

My hands ran across your skin, feeling every sensual curve, then I find your wetness, it's more than I deserve

A Goddess and a poet, how can this coupling work out right, I'm just glad your here with me, to share a lonely night

All that I could wish for, you're the girl who haunts my dreams, all my prayers have been answered or that is how it seems

It maybe fleeting moments, then again I'm on my own, simply with my memories, that I turn into poems on my phone

Then I send them out into the void, hoping somehow they'll get to you, maybe I'm someone's dream boy, I hope you feel it too

Two lonely hearts dreaming of a soul mate to share the night, both dreaming across the void, praying this will be their night

The night their dreams last forever and their love climbs out their heart and head, they make it to real world and really share a bed

No more need for hopeful dreams, together we'd be one, no need to worry what will happen, at the rising of the Sun
