Hi Journey, there is an intensity to your writing, the direct address is engaging, I would suggest slowing things down and flushing them out a little, to bring the writing to life in 3 dimensions. Describing the environment of memories and encounters, for example, is inexorably colored with your spirit and emotions, which vibrates to the reader and draws us in with the image that comes to life before the minds eye. You know, I think a lot of DUP poets will probably be wondering if this poem involves them. I have always felt that the best poetry speaks to us. I'm not boasting here because I don't want to 'flatter myself' Lol. I got that in before you could, hahaha! But joking aside, it's a heartwarming poem, whoever it is written for. 😆

Aww, thank you so much. I guess the good thing about writing (for me) is that sometimes it's what I imagine the feeling to be. Other times, someone just walks onto your life and sweeps you off your feet.
