empty vows
empty vow in contemptible stead
the harlot of envy's lot undresses
seeking redemption from torturous truth
treasonous heart be damned
I seek succor from a vampire
darkness greed descends upon me with a quickness
sucking the life from me
vanity glorifies her own
and with a look of derision--
tries to snuff out my light
I am rescued by angels
in the sacred houses well known
being devout of soul
I have a chaste vision of scarlet,
a thousand virgins say their prayers at midnight
before a shrine of deceit
their wicks trimmed but their lamps have no oil
upon my honor I am prepared
I will slay the beast that confounds

I am humbled by the depth you have brought here. These are both sacred and profound inclusions. To me, this type of rare and distant starlight requires a process that requires ....reflection of a very subtle nature.

I like this dark rite write (right?).
"a thousand virgins say their prayers at midnight" shows the factors of their use for angelic or sinister purpose.
