as each moment flows on by
we are in between
nanoseconds as they fly,
relentlessly they stream

to merge and twist, to ebb and flow
to spin in whirlpools too -
time's like liquid, fast and slow -
just like me and you...

every day we look behind
to know what is to come
we look ahead and hope to find
some thing or someone

to be with as we still remain
in between the past
