Obscurity

sparkling in the darkness
glimmering in the light
shining in obscurity
everything's alright

breathing in and out to feel
air rushing to within
then rushing right back out again
as we each begin

waking in the morning
moving through the day,
interactive intercourse
with others on the way

with all the living beings
around us everywhere,
cats and dogs and elephants,
trees purifying air

somewhere in the universe
someone waits to see
if we can elevate ourselves
ready then to be

sparkles in the darkness
glimmers in the light
shining in obscurity
where everything's alright
