Isolated
Been going outside—
To the park, groceries to buy some stuff,
Doing window shopping in the mall,
Trying on a dress I can’t afford.
Been drinking coffee
Beside the imposing glass wall,
Watching the rain create ripples,
Saying hi and sharing stories with strangers.
But it feels like I’m just in my room all day,
Staring at the ceiling, hearing my heartbeat,
Overthinking while listening to music,
Sitting in my darkest corners,
Praying that someone from the other side
Could break down my walls and
Tell me that I am no longer isolated.
