Moonlight Freedom
As I lay down,
The earth grounding me,
A midnight breeze gently shivering my skin,
The full moon creeping behind the clouds.
Slowly the shadows merge into one
A faceless silhouette starts to form,
Memories rushing in
Defining the shape,
It's her again.
She has haunted my dreams of late,
I had an inkling she would be back tonight.
Was I looking for her,
Or the idea of her?
Her presence now felt in the conscious world
Is more than my soul can bear.
Realizing I am no longer in darkness,
My eyes catch the moonlight,
Calling me to the heavens.
An aura of well being
Begins to engulf my body
I take a full breath, letting it out slowly,
Calmness now befalls me,
She said not a word
For her presence was clearly understood,
You are free
