Black roses
Black roses entwine the barrier
to my crypt, where peacefully,
I lay
until night conquers the sun
Under the cloak of the dark sky,
I live
Opposed to the rules set by the day,
I am free
My rights are not governed,
I render no fees
I lay in waiting for you to join me my dear
And, you will
When you have had enough of the day, it is then that I will sink my teeth into your flesh
The penetration into your skin will feel painful at first, then my lustful serum will ignite
your desires
You will beg me to stay there,
keeping my grip on you
And, I will
Every feeling you subdued will be elevated
You will die until you live again
now knowing
how death feels
You will realize the beauty of the black roses and adore their thorns
With me, your new life in the night will remain unfettered and finally
you will truly live

Gorgeous sensual dark imagery throughout; definitely a wonderful gothic feel so putting me in the mood for Halloween. Who doesn't love great vampire poetry. :) The formatting really contributed to the experience as well. And the picture is beautiful. Just lovely.

I enjoy a good gothic vampire poem especially one that compels the thirst and hunger with sensuality that not only is erotic but expresses terror...this really quite a remarkable dark fantasy...wonderful vibrant visuals, that not only are bloodstained but leave a stain on the readers psyche

This is creative with interesting imagery that immediately creates a toxic and enticing tone. I really enjoy the underlying meaning. A well written femme fatale. It reminds me of an Edvard Munch painting, The Kiss
