Looking For You

I sense a problem before I open the door
Trouble lies within
And tempted though to turn away
I slowly turn the knob

The house is cold and colder still
With every step I take
I blindly grope through darkened rooms
To find what lies within

And then she's there though long, long gone
Displayed like meat behind the glass
I stop in prayer then further in
To meet what fate has sent me

He waits for me in shadowed rooms
To bring to me what fate befalls me
I see his face so terrible
And sink onto knees gone limp

The end is swift and without mercy
But still I hear the knock on the door
Someone come looking for me
To find out what their fate decreed them
