I’m just sitting
here
wondering
why people
are so full
of hatred !?
I better dash
to my 9am
meeting.
Don’t make me
sit around
daydreaming
whilst
stealing my
beauty
sleep
night
after
night
whilst you
figure
out what
you
want.
Fucking
take it
or
leave it
because
just like you
I don’t
have
time
to waste
unless
it
actually
means something
that’s real
and
truer
than true.

This is interesting--
I enter the poem at a moment when the speaker observes the lack of caring-for-others, a kind of self-centeredness, of all the people around.
Then the rant about a person who may / may not be wasting her time.
To view another person as "wasting our time," is a big part of the negative energy that we feel all around us--viewing people as obstacles to our gratification, and implicitly resenting these "obstacles," instead of perceiving them as opportunities for caring.
The rat race--in whatever form--versus caring.
The design seems deliberate; and the beginning functions as an effective hook, with the result that I have mixed, ambivalent feelings, about this person speaking.
