THE JOY OF ANOTHER MORNING

Yes, it's morning again,
another gift of life;
another blank page.
What shall I choose to write?
Maybe a note to an old friend
or a note to myself, or
a poem to HER, maybe.
I have 26 letters to cover
the world from A to Z.
Morning means yesterday is gone
and tomorrow is not here yet..
Old memories rising to challenge
me, some positive, some negative,
COFFEE!
This coffee is a new brand;
why don't I grow my own coffee?
My friend is awake and growling
to go outside to check on the grass.
TODAY!
A new morning, a new beginning.
I wonder what junk
mail I'll get today; will the
politicians still be lying?
It's happened: I've
let my coffee get cold again.
BUT
my thought of you today
are filled with magic.
