Boisterously Tame

If I need to make noise
I can roar like a lion
But my first choice
Is to be a gentleman

Being a gentle man
Doesn't mean I'm soft
Many don't understand
My temper ain't aloft

If I cross that threshold
It's hard to calm down
My vernacular is bold
And I adjust my crown

That may sound arrogant
But I'm far from that
Don't misread my intent
Cause my head ain't fat

In fact, honestly
I'm humble to a fault
Many misunderstand me
And the battles I've fought

Caught 'tween a rock & a hard place
Could easily be in jail or in my grave
If I couldn't maintain a poker face
And acted as if I'm insanely raved
