As a buyer or old books in charity shops and the like, I related to this one! Though I’ve never received anything as exciting as a letter. Just a birthday dedication dated two weeks before I bought the book (she must have liked her present) and a photograph of a Jack Russell puppy with an entirely white body. Also a postcard of a Van Gogh painting, which I keep on my nightstand. (Hello... I think you’ve inspired a poem...)
