Vital alien
Water is needed to survive, a fact no one is disagreeing, but there is something more to water that may change our existence; our very own well-being
This life-sustaining substance may affect us more than we know, this compound does more than fill our oceans and enable life to grow
Oxidane or water as it is commonly referred, is transparent and calorie free, it has no organic nutrients, yet for survival this compound is vitally key
Water has memory, it reacts to its surroundings research has revealed, there is so much more to understand of this life fluid, its secrets are still concealed
Water exposed to happy thoughts displayed beautiful patterns and ornate designs, water absorbing sad and angry thoughts manifested images of a sporadic, chaotic kind
It is everywhere, it is part of us, we need it to thrive but how much thought do we give this amazing wonder which keeps our world alive
Our bodies purge sad tears and as we lose water we begin to thirst but before taking your next drink, look to the water first
Think positive thoughts before you drink, then consume water programmed with commands of good health, encouraging thoughts and wonderful love, there is more to learn about this clear liquid that is showered on us from above
Imagine if everything you drank contained positive energy waves, could it effect how your mind processes thoughts and how your physical biology behaves
All living things, share this alien chemistry, an inherent trait, it doesn’t matter the nationality, type of animal or species of plant, we all need this liquid, a unity we can not debate
This clear alien being, constantly flowing with forceful persistence can be affected by the thoughts we create, so much more to know about this vital alien that controls our very existence and ultimately our fate

Tight piece lady and we like the flow you have while teaching at the same time. It kinda made us think of a sci-fi flick that we saw, really tight work

I wasn't going to read this poem, until I saw the tags--aliens, science, philosophy. Then I was like, "oh, yeah, let's dig some science and speculation and factoids! That's always a blast!"
I think what threw me off, at first glance, was the glamour photograph--you could probably put on some glasses and exude a little more nerd appeal.
I tend to agree with this--it wouldn't surprise me at all, if the emotional energy from things we put in our body, from water, to plants and flesh--affect us.
The 3 aspects of man--mental (including thoughts & emotions) physical and spiritual (the animating force to our material bodies)--interact, each influencing the others.
Consider: would the milk from a factory-farmed cow, who had her calf removed at birth, to spare her milk--would that cow's milk have higher or lower biological value to those who drink it, compared to a cow that lived a more natural life?
I've known pro bodybuilders who've taken HGH, which can only be obtained from a cadaver, and then had horrifying spiritual experiences.
Houseplants experience and respond to emotional energy, can live or die based on the emotional energy alone, are in face even tuned into broader, universal "vibrations"--
There's much we still don't know, but we're learning...
Big LIKE for the thought-provoking!
Edit begins here: reminds me of Solyaris, film by Tarkovsky, where a water-planet ends up -- the water, that is--being a kind of alien intelligence, probing the minds & souls of visiting astronauts...

Water is life.
Many of us take this precious resource for granted.
Until you find yourself in a country or continent where people travel to rivers or water to fetch it.
Then that's when the luxury of water running out of a tap becomes a noticeable treasure.

To be a compete, intelligible, and grammatically correct statement, this line:
"Water is needed to survive, a fact no one is disagreeing, but there is something more to water that may change our existence; our very own well-being"
needs to read "Water is needed to survive, a fact no one is disagreeing WITH [or disputing] ..."

needs to read "Water is needed to survive, a fact no one is disagreeing WITH [or disputing] ..."

Excuse my bluntness, but as is noted on critical poetry sites (not vanity sites like DUP) as well as by editors of poetry journals, sacrificing sense and good grammar on the altar of rhyme is the mark of an amateur.

You’re going out of your way to insult me, I hope you’re enjoying yourself. Etiquette and good manners, and polite criticism should be displayed on all forums.
I’m also sorry you insult DUP
Perhaps you will look past the omission of the word “will” and calm down and find enjoyment in my art
Have a lovely evening

"You’re going out of your way to insult me, I hope you’re enjoying yourself. Etiquette and good manners, and polite criticism should be displayed on all forums."
All I was doing was pointing out that the way your line was set out, and your justification for its grammar gaffe ("creative rhyming license??), would not be considered on critical poetry and among editors of poetry journals as acceptable. So all I did was to state a fact. And if you take writing well seriously, that's hardly an insult, or an impolite criticism, or a violation etiquette, let alone anything I went out of my way to note.
"I’m also sorry you insult DUP"
And again, I was stating a fact. Do you have any evidence that DUP is not a vanity site?
"Perhaps you will look past the omission of the word “will” and calm down [???] and find enjoyment in my art
Leaving aside the question begging claim that I was in a state of disquiet when I wrote what I wrote to you, I find it difficult to enjoy pieces that are not committed to the best uses of the English language and that display the notion that getting a rhyme is any way creative when trumps making sense. As Ezra Pound has noted, poetry, to be good and effective poetry, should be written at least as well as the best prose, and that, as Samuel Johnson indicated, if a writer does not take the time to insure that this is so , and instead writes in a way that is likely to take an educated reader right out of a poem , then one has not produced anything that's worth reading.

It's all clever stuff you've covered in this vital alien. Thought provoking for sure.
I shall revisit it to do it more justice.
I'm hoping that ( this'll sound daft) that we can find a way to dehydrate water and then when there's a water shortage just add a drop. Something on those lines will be needed if we can get to Mars imo
There's probably a better word than dehydrate.
(Btw I think you picked up a bit of Baldwin on your shoe, did you manage to scrape it off?) awful stuff!

Hi Rew!
I’m glad you found this poem!
Yes, I agree about the water needs, so many things in our world changing too.
(Yes, Baldwin left as quickly as he arrived lol)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
