Spill
Softly
Like curtains drawn
Early on a Sunday morn
Sunlight spilling
Golden warm
Pooling on the pinewood floor
As you rouse
Then stretch and yawn
As I drowse
Half sleeping on
You
Oceans
Horizons where all recedes
Save clever dust
The specks of us
That wave beyond the sound of voices
Still wanting to be seen
I am here
Caged within this frame
And you...
Clouds float
Carried on windy sighes
Birds fly
And butterflies flutter by
Alluring
Like the batting of your eyes
My kite broke once
(Or should I say the string)
In a strong wind
When I was just a kid
Over the trees
Then out of view
Red on bluster flew
Its funny remembering childhood things
Discoveries
First inklings
That somehow grew
Leaving only the winsome
Of missing that with you
Distance is the furthest thing from near
And I want you here
Dripping red in heels
Lipstick and nails
That certain way you lean
And cleavage spills
When I try to look you in the eyes
Zephyrs
And hazy
Purple rimmed hills
Beckoning
That certain warm glazed rumination
Colored by heart
And yearning
Calling back that moment
That in the distance
Still remains
Despite oceans or days
Where I walk alone
As summer fades
And I
I'm lost in a sea of my own
The hills roll like waves
Forested green
Sounding like rain
The wind through the leaves
The best parts
Just trails and streams
Here alone
Nature speaks
And I breath
By silent pools
And sunlit glades
I wish you were here
Wind in your hair
Sunlight
And highlights
Wreathing your smile
Distances lost
In the depth of your eyes
Just a touch
And all would be real
Just a kiss
Surrender
The melding of worlds
Sweet forever
Timelessly
Sharing breath in a moment
Sharing hope in forever
Oceans
Oceans
Lost wandering seas
Still dreaming dreams
All colored by you
Every move a poem
Each breath a song
The missing
The real
Just a speck
I still wave
Clever dust
Longing for us
Like curtains drawn
Early on a Sunday morn
Sunlight spilling
Golden warm
Pooling on the pinewood floor
As you rouse
Then stretch and yawn
As I drowse
