The river called ....

I used to sit in the window of my dorm room late at night, watching the big trucks go back & forth on the highway across the marsh. It gave me a such an empty-full-tiny-lonely-real-longing feeling that I've never managed to capture or express. This comes pretty close. Especially paired with the art.

To me the painting is a stunning visual. Made me feel as though I was going over a waterfall. Which many days is the norm. Who doesn’t love a tugboat? They’re the unsung hero’s in the harbor. Just keeping their heads down and doing their job. I like the freedom of dreaming with this poem. This little tug can get me anywhere. Really love this. H🌷
