Old wives tale
Old wives tale
The coffin slowly opens, the Vampire Queen feels it's time to feed, she must sustain herself, she must fulfil this hungry need
The moon is high in the sky, it's at its fullest phase, it always brings out easy prey, many love the full moon craze
They go off into the darkest spots, they stare amongst the stars, with binoculars and telescopes, they search for the planet Mars
But they don't believe in her kind, they are story's for films and books, they have all the seeing implements but for her they never look
So the Queen goes to search the darkest spots, she spots them from way up high, swooping down like death on wings, its time for them to die
By time their realise she is there, their fate it has been sealed, her fangs burst into their veins, she drinks the blood before it can congeal
Warm fresh and freely flowing, she sucks the life force from their vein, leaving not a single drop, only a empty body will remain
The Police won't know where to turn, they will suspect there's a killer on the loose, maybe some psychopath, or a drifter some recluse
No one would think of Vampires, so their enquiries are bound to fail, they think there's no such thing as Vampires, it's just some old wives tale
