Practice Makes Perfect

Adam glanced at his tool and looked quizzically at Eve.

“Just put it in,” Eve explained. “You might have to push in and out a bit”

“How will I know it’s done?”

“You’ll hear all the noises and the burst of sudden release.”

Adam inserted the instrument into dark wetness pushing deeper as he went. He could hear Eve’s words of encouragement:

“That’s it, you got it. Right there. Yes, harder.”

Adam felt an ease of pressure and excitement overcame him. As he removed his snake his boss gave him a smile. The apprentice plumber had unclogged his first drain.
