If I were a sculptor

If I were sculpture

If I were a sculptor I'd sculpture you out of the finest stone, then I'd have you with me always and I'd never be alone

I'd lovingly carve your likeness, recreating every curve, making a exact replica, your beauty, I'd carefully preserve

Making sure every line is smooth, like a copy of your skin, making your body into a piece of art, but where do I begin

Slowly chipping at the stone, your face will soon appear, eventually I'll have my Goddess, now I'll always have her near

Slowly my creations taking shape, my homage to a Queen, a piece of her forever, a beauty to be seen

Polished to the finest shine, I stand back and take you in, everything is perfect, it even seems to show your beauty from within

There you are immortalised, my Goddess, my muse, my Queen, but you have been carved in poetry, from a portrait from a dream
