enjoy the meter here more than anything else...
The 1st line of dactyls with a feminine ending, the the trochees that culminates with a substitution, then the falling off, dribbling away rhythm of the last 8 syllables.
I've noticed this in your work before--getting speech to fall into pretty distinct rhythmic patterns.
Nice effect!
As for "science"...scientists have been making predictions for a long time.
And nobody remembers when the Royal Academy of Science (I think) declared "heavier than air flight" "impossible" (this after Orville & Wilbur's flight at KH), or all the "doctors" endorsing smoking in commercials in the 50s, or when "salt pills" were dispensed in bubble gum machines...
