I am sooo glad you enjoyed. I am /was nervous and questioning this piece ... I have zero chances in the comp because the talent there is in the total stratosphere..like seriously soooo soo good!!... I do feel like I already have a reward, in a sense, by the feeling of growth in my decision to enter the comp and the undertaking of writing this piece. For me, it was pretty difficult to put together, so my hope is that is a good sign of the process of myycontinued learning!... I can only hope I'm not 😳 embarrassing myself... haha...

I totally get anxiety and doubt entering a competition but your reward is the entering of it.

This stirred the salt of my earth with a strong taste of what sensual love can be. The way you showed your edits reminded me of a book by Samuel Delany where he did similarly. You have his gift of incorporating that into your brilliant poem. And you made the baking metaphor your own with deft kneading of thoughts and imagery. There is a fire in your words that sparks my libido to realize its potential.

I am wanting to do back flips, after reading your comments, John! .... I am so happy, grateful and excited by what you said here. This competition piece was difficult and completely out of my comfort zone. It took me longer to write and think about than what I am used to and that usually means that I'm completely overthinking things, which leads to a so/so kinda meh, end result.. (I've learned) I struggled with this and I still feel unsure about it.... but now my confidence has increased to a level that will allow me to at least leave it posted!!... I truly thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I have such admiration for you.
