In My Eyes
Can’t you see in my eyes
The only thing that I want?
Yet you still give me choices—
Live or live it all again.
Can’t you hear from my lips
The only thing I want to say?
Yet you still force me to choose—
Try or try it all again.
Can’t you see in my face
How tired I am from all this mess?
Yet you still drag me around to places—
Dance or run to the end.
I hope you see it in my eyes
That I am unfit for this world;
The rainbows have long died,
And the golden rays no longer reach me.
I hope you hear from my lips
How long I’ve wanted to die,
And see it in my face
The gray hope of this life.
Now I hope you give me these choices—
Live or live in the other world;
And then you’d know what I would choose
Without hearing a word.
You would see in my eyes
As they pour another tear,
And you would hear from my lips
How I feel sorry for choosing this.
And then you would try to hold me close,
Tell me wonderful things to stay.
I grasp your shirt and look up at you,
And you see the goodbye in my face.
The only thing that I want?
Yet you still give me choices—
Live or live it all again.
Can’t you hear from my lips
The only thing I want to say?
Yet you still force me to choose—
Try or try it all again.
Can’t you see in my face
How tired I am from all this mess?
Yet you still drag me around to places—
Dance or run to the end.
I hope you see it in my eyes
That I am unfit for this world;
The rainbows have long died,
And the golden rays no longer reach me.
I hope you hear from my lips
How long I’ve wanted to die,
And see it in my face
The gray hope of this life.
Now I hope you give me these choices—
Live or live in the other world;
And then you’d know what I would choose

And you would hear from my lips
How I feel sorry for choosing this.

And you see the goodbye in my face.
