Crippled Predator
A hungry wolf
Afraid to kill rabbits
So you know he ain't going after a deer
Self-imposed sentence of solitude
Without a pack
elk and moose have nothing to fear
Waiting...
Hungrily
Wishing...
and Sorely Lacking
Not in fang nor strength
But confidence,
ferocity
Even the hawk and owl, who rabbits fear,
will not challenge him
They laugh at him
but safely
from a distance
Just in case he remembers
what he really is
"In the abundance of water,
the fool is thirsty" ---- Bob Marley "Rat Race"
