DOWN TO THE EARTH
Down to the earth like an open grave,
but with smiles on the face like a quokka,
Who can read the heart through the shining teeth,
or see the mind from the glittering lips!
If there are tears that ease the pains,
let them flow out like the evil stream,
And poems that can tell the mind,
pour them out like an open tap!
He Passes through the same street again and again,
missing just the same steps again and again.
but with smiles on the face like a quokka,
Who can read the heart through the shining teeth,
or see the mind from the glittering lips!
If there are tears that ease the pains,
let them flow out like the evil stream,
And poems that can tell the mind,
pour them out like an open tap!
He Passes through the same street again and again,
missing just the same steps again and again.
