I love how you spilled this stimulating piece of spoken words made from a dream for dreams are made to come true yet most of us would sometimes settle for less than what we deserve yet forgetting about the real beauty of dreams as you say sometimes going down that rabbit hole and become lost within the turmoil and confusion even misconception of what it means to love unconditionally and dream of finding that one relationship that has all the makings of being that one dream that will last a lifetime of happiness 🎆🙏😎👊

Let us have a tea party with crumpets, strawberry jam, blueberry scones, with only the most proper English teas served in only the most proper English tea cups. We can each dress as our favorite character from Alice in Wonderland.  We can laugh and chat between sips of tea and mouse nibbles of our biscuits. It would all  be so perfectly splendid.

OMG❣OMG❣OMG❣🌹 Dear, Lady Blue, this brilliant piece is written with such breathtaking erudition and velvety smooth flow. The second stanza embraced me, coaxing me down the rabbit hole emerging into a paradise of memories. Can't pinpoint why, but I love this line, "flashes of memories
imbued with peculiarity;"
Which is odd because "peculiar," in all its forms, is one of my most difficult words, in English, to pronounce 🤪🥴

Dear BV,

Can I be the queen of hearts? Pleeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeee?

I won’t cut off anyone’s head. I promise. Well, I won’t cut off too many peoples heads. I sort of promise. Nope. I’m cutting off heads. Forget it.  

“ surrender of the chase” when I read this line it struck me how much I’m desperately trying to hang on to the last vestiges of youth. Physically. It’s hopeless and not working but I’ve got bloody fingernails in the attempt.  

This is a gorgeous write in reflection and appreciation for what stares back in the glass. There’s always a lot more good than bad once I’ve taken inventory and give thanks for that and the memories I claim for the fun and development of who I am now. Aging is odd and hard but I wouldn’t want to be in my 20’s again for a single farthing. Great piece as per my friend. H🌷

I ABSOLUTELY NEED your no nonsense.. sense, as the Queen Of Hearts❤️ 👑 cuz there's definitely heads that need rolling!! 🤣😂🤣

I wholeheartedly agree! I would still like the ability for my body to bounce back faster, to return. Ohhh yeah!! Being in my late 40's, it's definitely noticeable that it's waning... but I too, would never want to go back to my 20's.. NO EFFING WAY. I appreciate my age, I just do not appreciative the effects of gravity.

"born of backwards sunlight"

I think this was my favorite line.  Just conjuring the idea of a different physics, in a prolific expansion of expression.  This piece reminds me of the idea of our memories being configurations in states of constant reconfiguration, or so we are told...  but...  deep down, I think, we know the truth...  We sense it in a way that cannot be denied.  What we were told is a lie.  Perception is reality, or the capacity to be reality.  There is a world outside of our world, where all things are possible, in the corner of the eye, right there, within our reach, and yet...

The waves of time, as experienced in the perceptual concentrations that are imposed upon us, have sought to beat us into submission, in order to make us no longer ourselves.

Blu, this piece is so fucking exquisite, on so many levels.  

(I was going to tell a story about a presentation I gave called "Through the Looking Glass: An examination of HPPD...  Perhaps later...  I very much appreciate what you have done with this concept.)

I wasn't pulling from a particular statement or specifically from a  staunch concept, itself. More from the overt randomness that life itself serves up sometimes, combined with the surrealism that I always felt accompanied the stories of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass..... Hence, some of the imagery and word phrasing...
Yes,Yes!! Just balancing, a teeter within the periphery of vision.... I like that notion, very much!

This is really beautiful, the white rabbit representing magic and illusion and things which escape and the rabbit hole.  Rabbits are my favorite animal too, I just wrote a poem about our resident wild bunny in the yard :)

I caught something that maybe it's just my imagination or perhaps you did on purpose, as the usual saying is "back and forth" yet you wrote it as "forth and back" as if looking through the mirror and the reflection is backwards. (IDK)

These reflective pieces on aging offer so much, it's heart tugging and insightful, sharing bits of wisdom learned and earned over time.
