It Lives Off Others (Or Tries To)
You think I’m naive
You think I’m lonely
And I am
But I saw your face
Of pure evil
And your parasitic ways
But you and your kind
Have given me pleasure
Over various nights & days
The magic trances
Offerings full of meaning
Mostly from me
How dare I?
Mere scribe of God
Take on a devil’s disciple
Nothing like powers
To reveal themselves
Before common men & women
A blinding flash or two
And then flowers bloom
As they’ve almost always done
And almost always will
As fires burn below
And almost always will
You think I’m lonely
And I am
But I saw your face
Of pure evil
And your parasitic ways
But you and your kind
Have given me pleasure
Over various nights & days
The magic trances
Offerings full of meaning
Mostly from me
How dare I?
Mere scribe of God
Take on a devil’s disciple
Nothing like powers
To reveal themselves
Before common men & women
A blinding flash or two
And then flowers bloom
As they’ve almost always done
And almost always will
As fires burn below
And almost always will
