The Storm That Blew My Heart Away

A storm was coming, and I received no warning alert.
I'd dance on the boundaries of paradise, to avoid hurt.
I felt that I would resist it, that my heart was inert.
I felt that I would survive the storm, but that didnt work.

Now I look to my horizon
And you are all that I see
I must admit, that terrifies me
You swept me away effortlessly
But caught in your waves
is where I want to be.
Like the Moon's grip on the sea
You have got hold of me.

I'm spinning around
in your hurricane.
But it's not what I thought,
there is no pain.
You dominate my thoughts
You have my brain
You have my heart
That's where you'll remain.

Your winds of change made a better me.
You made my volcanic eruptions cease.
Most storms displace, but yours completed me.
That's why only for you, would I bend on one knee.

You are an earthquake that changed it all.
Tore down the barriers, broke the wall.
You shook my pride, I let it fall.
And now I can give you my all.

This is a battle, I'm willing to lose
Arguments we will diffuse
I will see passed my improper views
And instead you are the one I will choose

I have never felt so warm
Baby you are the perfect storm
I was instantly struck
Never thought I'd end up like this...
Craving the gentle flame of your hug
And electricity of your lips

This will go on forever
You have changed my life for the better
And I'll continue to ride this wave
The storm that Blew my heart away.

Author's Note
The love of my life brought a drastic change to my life. A good change, it was chaotic but brought so many positives and helped shaped my future for the better. A storm was the best way to describe the intensity.
