Entranced

summer sunlight on the ocean
sparkling on the top
of rippling wavelets all in motion
up and down to stop

on the seashore where I'm standing
mesmerized once more
thinking as a seaplane's landing
that summer I adore

as children's voices from they're playing
mix with gulls who cry
while taking off, no longer staying -
they fly into the sky...

a cooling breeze blows from the water
tempering the heat
from summer sunshine which has brought a
moment very sweet

coalescing while creating
consciousness in trance
at peace feeling oh so great in
sunlight's sparkling dance

on rippling wavelets all in motion
sparkling on the top
as summer sunlight on the ocean
seems to never stop
