The Goddess and the poet
The goddess and the poet
I am just a humble poet, a man who writes of love in rhyme, she was a Goddess, a beauty for all time
I would write her stanzas, to tell her how i feels, lines to enthrall and please her, to show my love is real
Each word to tell the world, of the beauty within her face, to explain how it would feel, to share loves sweet embrace
I hope the Goddess reads my words, i pray they touch her heart, can she feel the romance, though we're miles apart
Can words reach across the void, sent from my poet soul, sent to find the Goddess, is my only goal
Would a Goddess read my work, would the Goddess take the time, would she even read my words, though they're quite devine
Does she care what this poet writes, would she be interested in my rhyme, would she send a messege back, to say that she is mine
My words are sent like a special gift, wrapped within a bow of rhyme, sent to please my Goddess, a gift to last all time
