Why do we always talk jobs and chores and errands
Have our lives become so
Let it go
Tonight I would talk of you
The way your eyes look in the spring
In a certain kind of light
And the way your hair sometimes falls just so
That perhaps evokes beauty to no one but me
Touches of beauty only loving eyes can see
Hush those day worn cares in my arms
Let my lips find yours as they did at first
Losing myself in the soft warmth of you
Heedless as the world swept by
Consumed by desire for you
Just to be near you
The smell of your skin
Your hair
The feel of your touch
Kissing you earnestly
Passionately
As time stood still
Tonight let's forget the day and remember us
You
A soft flowing fire alive in my arms
And I
Show me how you remember me
When first you thought of us
Have our lives become so
Let it go
Tonight I would talk of you
The way your eyes look in the spring
In a certain kind of light
And the way your hair sometimes falls just so
That perhaps evokes beauty to no one but me
Touches of beauty only loving eyes can see
Hush those day worn cares in my arms
Let my lips find yours as they did at first
Losing myself in the soft warmth of you
Heedless as the world swept by
Consumed by desire for you
Just to be near you
The smell of your skin
Your hair
The feel of your touch
Kissing you earnestly
Passionately
As time stood still
Tonight let's forget the day and remember us
You
A soft flowing fire alive in my arms
And I
Show me how you remember me
When first you thought of us
