the landscape at the marina
I need to leave
before I am found
out
and when I am
found I will need to
leave again.
Until I leave
I will be found
at the marina
seeking sails
and leaving snails
upon the ground.
before I am found
out
and when I am
found I will need to
leave again.
Until I leave
I will be found
at the marina
seeking sails
and leaving snails
upon the ground.

I immediately related the snails to trails, like bread-crumb trails to the water. Body's of water provide such relief, don't they? I feel it's because we are bodies of water ourselves, and feel as though we're coming home when near them.
I sensed the push-pull of this struggled, Ursa.

Dear U,
Ah yes, the solace within the place of peace before being found and the chase and hide begins again.
There is a baptism in water such as the ocean or lake at this point I’d settle for a kiddie pool. The message of unrest has its own heartbeat in this write and its very understandable and oh so relatable. I appreciate your succinct ability to get your message across in such brevity. I wish I had that gift. Great write.

The wistful tone reminds me of Joni Mitchell. I would make a comment about the snails but my history with their cousins the slug haunts me; I don't want anymore on my kitchen counter and guitar case.
