The Answer

 
Can you say it again—
The sweetest word that’s ever been?
Can you mean it in such a way
As only you can say?

An Angel’s dream shines in your eyes
Where I pray my tomorrow lies.
And how sweet the angel sings
With you upon the pearl wings.

Life is such a strange question,
Or merely a suggestion
Of such things as we can be,
If you ever may choose me.

You are the answer I wish to hear,
With your voice so clear,
To sail my heart away from land
Into the sea, and into your hand.

You are the sails that carry me,
Upon the sighs of the sea.
Yours is the dawn that will rise
In the soul behind my eyes.
