More Than Just A Pretty Face
Inside four walls a pretty face sleeps
She sleeps to dream as her dreams let her escape
Inside four walls a pretty face awakes
She awakes to a tormented mind and lost soul
Inside four walls a pretty face cries
She cries to get out the words she can't say
Inside four walls a pretty face listens
She listens for the answers to her unspoken prayers
Inside four walls a pretty face falls
She falls back into herself and back sleep
Inside four walls a pretty face sleeps
She sleeps again to escape
Inside four walls a pretty face awakes
She awakes in hopes to be more than just a pretty face
She sleeps to dream as her dreams let her escape
Inside four walls a pretty face awakes

A beautiful excursion into the human condition... Which is perhaps a misnomer, as human is made up of individual humans. I very much enjoyed this.
Every lady persona is more than a pretty face!
Some search for what they know is supposed to be there.
Others deny the sordid menu life has given to them, despite their pretty face.
But there is always MORE.
Your "Inside four walls a pretty face" motif (or chorus) roots your thoughts firmly, so that each progression is gradual and increasingly climactic. Unfortunately, the vicious circle is evident, as the cycle maxes out and starts again, only to pursue the same futile ends. Happily, whereas sleep seems like a wonderful escape (from reality), each new awakening is like a new chance to try again, because it comes with stronger hope and greater expectations than in the previous cycle.
This is a beautiful poem.
NB In this line, "She falls back into herself and back sleep," do you mean to insert "to" after the word back?

Love the structure of this ... the one stanza works so well ... the repetition is relentless ... nice write ... welcome to DUP ...
