Close Enough
What would that feel like?
To be CLOSE ENOUGH?
To be held, and to hold, close enough.
Close enough that it feels that your heart has stopped beating on its own, and instead,
two hearts beat as one?
Do you know how it feels to be entwined?
Not just within another's arms,
but with another's soul?
Intimately, interconnected,
being part of one whole?
Do you know what it would be like?
To have gravity itself being created
in the space that remains between,
making it easier to stay in place,
asleep, in a dream, than to leave.
To have invisible magnets holding you together,
in a place where time does not exist.
And after, how then, could you be whole again?
Something like that...
Or, at least, close enough.
