Don't Mess With Me

Just minding my own business
Sitting at the bar
You figure you'll make your day
By making my day hard
You bump into me
Spilling my drink all over my shirt
You don't apologize
If you ain't careful this is going to hurt

You don't know me
And Lord knows, I don't know you
I've already got enough reason
To split you into two
If you're smart, I doubt you are
You'll leave and hedge your bets
If you're not, then I'll do something
That both both of us will regret

Chorus:
If you don't mess with me
Than I won't mess with you
You wouldn't stand a bit of chance
With what I'd put you through
I'm easy to get along with
If you leave me alone
But if you give me a hard time
Then I'll grind you to the bone

-instrumental interlude... musician show off time-

Bartender, pour this guy a double
Cause he ain't got long to live
I've already given him all the warning
That I see fit to give
Tomorrow when he wakes up
Out in front, face down in the dirt
Bring this guy some aspirin
Cause his head will beeping hurt

Chorus

Author's Note
My wife was a bartender, and I'd see a guy sitting at the bar minding his own business, a guy I'd know better than to mess with, and some punk would start something...
