Choices
Some people see the human body as a work of art
A thing of beauty that strikes to the heart
Tattoos to them are like graffiti on a Monet
I'm afraid that's me, what more can I say?
Some people see the human body as a canvas, a blank slate
The art is theirs for the choosing, an expression to relate
These are choices we make
Don't make us bad
Don't make us great
Choices make us who we are
Just because you are different than me
Doesn't mean you can't go far
Just because I hate tattoos doesn't mean I hate the person wearing it
Just because I hate rap doesn't mean I hate the person sharing it
It's a clash of style, of beauty, of choices
We're a conglomerate of decisions, of visions, of voices
Everyone has a right to their own
Until yours interferes with mine
You just be you, and I'll be me
And we'll get along just fine
A thing of beauty that strikes to the heart
Tattoos to them are like graffiti on a Monet
I'm afraid that's me, what more can I say?
Some people see the human body as a canvas, a blank slate
The art is theirs for the choosing, an expression to relate
These are choices we make
Don't make us bad
Don't make us great
Choices make us who we are
Just because you are different than me
Doesn't mean you can't go far
Just because I hate tattoos doesn't mean I hate the person wearing it
Just because I hate rap doesn't mean I hate the person sharing it
It's a clash of style, of beauty, of choices
We're a conglomerate of decisions, of visions, of voices
Everyone has a right to their own
Until yours interferes with mine
You just be you, and I'll be me
And we'll get along just fine
