FATAL ATTRACTION
Trapped in a prison devoid of bars
Seeking emancipation from mental scars
Stars not shining as bright on most nights
Cause my stress levels are staying in flight
Yet I fight with the might of Apollo Creed
As The Sandman continues to beg & plead
Trying to get me to concede off the stage
Can't hook me so he's becoming enraged
Been engaged to death but we haven't eloped
Using healthier alternatives than using dope
In order to cope with my mental state
They say it's written so this must be fate

You're absolutely right. We build up a tolerance for our vices and then seek something stronger to get back to the high that we achieved initially. I'm just trying my best to not start venturing to other means that aren't as healthy for me.
