HUSH, LISTEN

hush, listen to the wind
child, with it spectres
of the nights, lost
looking for old homes

hush, listen to their whispers
they crave mortal coil to enter
stay still, child, do not whimper
or look out to watch them pass

hear the moans of despair
they lost their bodies like sword scabbards
discarded upon unsacred ground
quiet child lets just hide until morn

and then they will be gone.
