THE MOTHER EARTH'S LESSON
THE MOTHER EARTH'S LESSON
You're whirling in the space of endless size.
How kind of you, dear earth, not to be free.
You're tied to our sun and other force
It's kind of them to grant you that safe course.
I love you, earth. You are my caring home
and mother that've taught me a lot of things.
You've taught me to be kind and care for all
above all, to be wise and have a string.
When l imagine you're quite free to move,
I find you won't be fit for life and love.
No creatures can suck life from your dear breasts
and no eyes in the sky to give you light.
You've taught me with your motherly wise care
not to be free but bound to something sure.
that will make my tied kite so nicely soar,
enjoying soft breeze which lifts it high.
