Into Nighthawks at the coffee house
Five finger silver adornment
Gleams under vaulted starlight
Opal ablaze with Moroccan hand sign
Worn in Marrakesh love light
She bends in a statuesque summons
With her arc of feminine might,
That she wields for his delight
Whose Braille is calligraphy of woman
Written on his skin
From incidental coffee touch
steamed and dreamed

Susan, thank you from my heart for the RL and the perceptive comment. I got the title from the Hopper painting "Nighthawks at the Cafe." It is a portrait of an encounter with my favorite barista. Definitely, it is word-painting of her. She graces the place and it wouldn't be the same without her there. So in a sense, it was inspired by the painting "Nighthawks at the Cafe." I just transitioned the location to a coffee shop with a different sort of waitress. Immensely glad you enjoyed my friend. I love sharing my poetry with you.

Very lovely and poetic. So many perfect lines. Definitely got me thinking of a cappuccino and crystal cake menagerie. I love the use of silver, Marrakesh, Braille of calligraphy of woman etc to create such beautiful imagery. It is easy to see your sensual side and appreciation for feminine beauty.
