of freedom
with one foot in
and one foot out
because promises

Bettie was a "dream girl" for sure.
I read an interview with the aging Bettie and she had no idea when she was posing for those photographs that she was making such an impact.

I LOVE Bettie so much!
Her pin-up photography with Bunny Yeager especially, are pure iconic sexy, imo. Ohhh, within her wink, were promises of a lifetime—indeed. Whew... I 100% agree there. Terrific poem, Jav. I am an enormous fan!

I love this. i LOVE this. I LOVE THIS!!!!
This is exactly my philosophy (ha!) when it comes to writing erotica (most of the time). that promise, that unknown, is what makes me get all....well, in need of cold shower. ha!
my ONLY quibble, would be the use of the word Pinterest. It immediately makes this a 'current' poem, but it could easily be timeless. People are always going to know who Betty Page is. But will we always remember pinterest?

Bettie had such a difficult time later in life.
But she was indeed a youthful angel of "winks and promises" -- truly, the perfect pin-up.
