All You Ever Need
Every single day spent tirelessly
Creating the remarkable imitation of life itself
Take the blade and slash the skin, lightly
You’ll see styrofoam underneath
This is me, and that’s also me
I’m all you’ll ever need
Her hair is perfect, maybe it’s not real
With a sharp smile like razors on glass
Cocaine secrets disguised by red lipstick and nighttime drives.
Faithful like the drag of teeth pulling skin from the bone
She’s literally perfection
And maybe she’s all you’ll ever need
I know I said it wouldn’t happen again this time
You know the despair and the ever growing level of concern,
The bloody tears and nails that point in your direction
But the way you looked at her
And the way I looked right back
I saw how your neck almost snapped
And I would have just done it myself.
Creating the remarkable imitation of life itself
Take the blade and slash the skin, lightly
You’ll see styrofoam underneath
This is me, and that’s also me
I’m all you’ll ever need
Her hair is perfect, maybe it’s not real
With a sharp smile like razors on glass
Cocaine secrets disguised by red lipstick and nighttime drives.
Faithful like the drag of teeth pulling skin from the bone
She’s literally perfection
And maybe she’s all you’ll ever need
I know I said it wouldn’t happen again this time
You know the despair and the ever growing level of concern,
The bloody tears and nails that point in your direction
But the way you looked at her
And the way I looked right back
I saw how your neck almost snapped
And I would have just done it myself.
